You will need to apply for a work visa, and/or a permanent residence visa, which will take 1-4+ years and cost around $1,500; application for which needs to be made while you are living outside of the U.S.

In your other question, I outlined the fiance visa process, again, which must be filed for while living outside the U.S.

My husband and I went through this (he is Canadian, I am American) and after thorough research, we decided it was better for me to move to Canada. We were able to be together more quickly that way, as it was we spent the first two years of our marriage living across the border from each other.

An American spouse and lots of money and patience to apply for your "green card," or a sponsorship from an American company to work for them with an H1B visa.

Both are very hard to come by.
