generally with food poisoning you run fever have diariah cramps vomiting same symptoms as a stomach bug only the pain can be worse

It depends on the agent. Also, young and healthy folks tend to have milder symptoms than the elderly, infirm or infants. BTW, you need to remember that food poisonings are NEVER immediate. Pathogens require some time to get settled into your gut and get started, and this takes either many hours or a few days.

For most part, a mild bout of something like a bacterial toxin can produce loose stool, nausea, maybe one or two vomiting spells.

If it's Salmonella, you can have diarrhea and fevers for three days and it'll go away on its own. Infections like Salmonella and E. coli O157:H7 take 1 to 3 days to start.

If it's scombroid fish poisoning, you can have redness and hives. that subside in a matter of hours (though Benadryl helps).

when i had it, it felt like the stoach flu but subsided quicker than the flu does. i have had both. hope u feel better soon
