hendricks would be the best pick .. best equiptment.. best drivers.. besides the 25 team the other three teams always are good..even when they dont win the winner of the race usually has to go thru one of them to get it...and they dont mind spending money to win... races and championships... im not a hendrick fan at all but they are tough to beat every week... would definetly be the best choice if it wasnt dei or rcr..

I don't think he is going to go anywhere, I think that if he was he would have left by now. If DEI and Teresa don't give him what he needs though, I could see him driving for JR Motorsports. That would be a tough career move because historically single car teams have trouble competing. He wouldn't leave Chevrolet behind though, and I do not think he would drive for Hendrick and I don't think Gibbs would make a play, so if it is not RCR, it would be JR Motorsports, but what number would he end up with. So many cars out there, 88 is taken, so is 83, 33, 30, 3 is owned by RCR and 8 would be owned by DEI. That would be a big change in NASCAR if it happens

I don't think he'd go anywhere else. RCR is the only option other than DEI. I mean, He will never join Hendrick, and I think Joe Gibbs couldn't afford him w/ all they put behind Stewart, Hamlin, and somewhat Yeley. Every other team is out of the question... He wouldn't sign w/ a non-Chevrolet team, and all the rest of the Bowtie teams are too under-powered and under-manned. Truthfully, I think he's staying w/ DEI. He will get his majority ownership, and Teresa will keep a little bit so she doesn't have to work ever again.. But in the end, Dale Jr will be owner/driver for DEI.

If Dale Jr was to leave DEI I highly doubt that RCR WOULD NOT offer him a ride. Richard Childress has already said that he would welcome Dale Jr over to race for him whenever he wants to.

But...by some crazy chances that RCR does not offer Jr a ride I think that he would either go to Joe Gibbs Racing as Joe Gibbs does have the money to pay Dale Jr. Dale Jr has the biggest sponsor deal out of any driver in Nascar when he signed with Budweiser so money is no object as Budweiser will go wherever Dale Jr goes. And Dale Jr and Tony Stewart are great friends and they always help each other out at the races at Daytona and Talladega.

I know that he would never drive for Toyota as he would never stoop to that level. Dale Jr was born and raised a Chevy man and that's how he's gonna be. Dale Jr would not sell himself out to join the Toyota teams...and he sure as hell would not sign with Michael Waltrip Racing. Dale Jr eats, drinks, breathes, sleeps and lives Chevy!

If he did not sign with another team then he would race for his own team. He already has his Busch series team so he would have to start his Cup series team. His sister Kelly and his mother both work for him so they would help him out. And if I'm not mistaken...Dale Jr's team gets their engines from RCR so Childress would help him out as well.

Either way...I hope that Dale Jr proves everyone wrong and wins the championship this season.

First of all, it is a moot point, because Richard has said numerous times that if Jr leaves, he hopes he'll be the first person he calls. But, forgetting that, Joe Gibbs Racing. Jr is a Redskin fan and they only have three cars, so another team could be easily added for Jr. Plus, JGR is a Championship caliber team. Jr would not drive anything but a Chevy and HMS has a full roster. Even if the didn't, I can't see Jr driving for Rick,

If Jr. leaves DEI, you can bet that Richard Childress will be all over him to get behind the wheel of one of his cars.

However, if you want an answer to the hypothetical question, here you go. Jr. would probably start up his own Nextel Cup team (Jr. Motorsports). At that point, you'd still see Richard Childress offering Jr. all kinds of support, from R&D to testing. Jr. will have NO PROBLEM whatsoever with sponsorship. Budweiser will follow him wherever he goes. In fact, if Jr. does decide to move to RCR, I'm looking forward to a bidding war between Budweiser and Goodwrench.

I'D LOVE TO SEE ANOTHER BLACK #3 GOODWRENCH CHEVY WITH AN EARNHARDT IN IT!!!!

Junior will most likely stay with DEI, but if NASCAR's most popular driver along with one of the historically longest prime sponsors in the sport do bolt, it sure would be interesting.

Dale, so far, may have underachieved but one must remember, his Father had much more yet to teach him.

Junior's overriding desire in Cup was to compete against his Father, indeed it was to beat his Father. All the rest didn't matter. He knew that if he could beat his Father, he would have beaten the best.

Senior planned to teach everything he knew to Jr. the same way Junior's grandpa wanted to teach Dale. On the track, where its learned best. When Ralph died, Dale had to learn on his own as well, but then Dale was much poorer and hungrier than Junior.

When Dale died Junior lost his Father, his mentor and his life's ambition to come out on top of the Cup standings with his Dad right behind him. He also lost his sole benefactor within DEI.

I can't even imagine what it was like to climb into that racecar the week after Daytona in 2001. In 2002 and 2003, I don't believe he had fully come to terms with the loss. On top of that, he had to negotiate his current contract with DEI, as he had gone to work on a Father's handshake.

He's pretty much been "winging" it, but in the last couple of years, I've seen some "fire" come back in his eyes.

Considering where he was in points this year and where he is sitting right now, I wouldn't write him off for a Title this year.

When he finally does win that Cup, more will follow.

I believe he still wants to be the driver his Dad envisioned and if he can't beat his Dad, well... then the rest will just have to do.

Regardless, I will pull for him until he's gone because after 45 plus years as an Earnhardt fan, I won't stop now. By the way, Dale's nephew is now a developmental driver working for DEI. With a little luck, I can pull for an Earnhardt until I'm gone!

You won't have to worry about who he would go to because RCR will offer him the job. In my opinion, Dale Jr. will not get what he wants from DEI, so when he leaves, Richard Childress will be calling him up. By next year, he could be driving the red Budweiser #3 car (the black #3 is retired, but not the #3).

Well first of all, if he leaves DEI he will get a ride with RCR. But if he didn't I think one of three places, Petty, Evernham, or Ginn. Before this year I would have said he would start his own team, but with the success or lack their of Waltrip is having I think that has and will scare a lot of people away from doing that.

Its basically in Jrs. hands right now. If Jrs leaves DEI, Childress is waiting for that phone call from Jr. When Jr announced that Jr. might be leaving at the end of the 2007 season, it was a big shock, one of my friends at school said that Jr, was being kicked out of DEi, and let me ask you this,
if Dale Jr was being thrown out of DEI, do you think that he'd even try to win the Championship driving for DEI this year, do you think that Jr would even try to win a race this year.
