Depends on your vet--could be in any of your ranges. At mine, It would be around $100. But in my experience, it is WORTH EVERY PENNY. You will know how many to expect, so you'll know if your dog is done whelping or if there is one stuck or some other problem. Didn't do it with our last litter, I wish we had...we ended up x-raying any way to make sure she was empty. We'll definitely doing it with her next litter.

there are a number of variables here that would regulate the expenses. some aspects comprise the section you reside (large city, small city or rural), a private prepare or a multi-staffed, over-sized and over-priced sprawling new shape with alot of extra advantageous wages to pay beside the Vet or their Assistant. New affected person? (extra$$ for preliminary examination and getting animals history on checklist) Then, the x-rays; what proportion and what length is important or necessary. you're able to have the flexibility to get an intensive estimate from any you go with to call and ask. I even have chanced on the main suitable care and expenses from a Vet who has a small prepare out of his abode or in a rural section. They get to renowned you and your animals on a extra own point, do not strip your wallet on costs and assets you do not want. don't be afraid to learn expenses-the closest one to you won't be the terrific decision. (i'm going to guarantee the fee would be decrease than 0.5 of what you would be charged if the comparable proceedure replaced into completed on your self) in case you come returned to a determination to alter medical doctors/Clinics-confirm to invite on your records/x-rays to take to new wellness care provider-it could help shop expenses down and supply history on your puppy. Your pets appropriate care is the main severe undertaking to think approximately after all.

$ or £? Why don't you just ring your vets and ask for a quote?! It varies from surgery to surgery, so you'd get the quickest answer by just ringing!
My vet surgery charges £50 a plate - you can get two views of a small dog on one plate, but not a large dog - and you might need two views for a pregnancy scan.
Ask your vets what imaging technique they use to diagnose pregnancy - using xray is quite old-fashioned for pregnancy, because it's not ideal to expose unborn pups to x-radiation. Ultrasound is safer, and also provides a better view - the moving pictures allow you to scan all round the uterus, and behind pelvic bones etc. Safer, better, and therefore more expensive tho obviously - £150 for a pregnancy ultrasound at my surgery!

My vet won't do an x-ray to determine a pregnancy, she does an ultra sound which runs about $50-$60
Around day 50, she will do an x-ray to give us a close head count. That runs about $65.

at my vet(in a rual area)it costs about $150-$250 depending on how many of them u need. it might be cheaper to ask the vet to do an ultra-sound if they have the equipment.

I would say call your local vets. That's what I did when I got my cat neutered & declawed. You will notice there is quite a difference in the different vets.
