Mormons aren't Christian, Catholics aren't Christian everyone who doesn't believe what they do will burn in hell

It goes on and on

That person is not a TRUE Christian

Does Christianity in its 1000+ flavors preach anything but intolerance?

said it before, but, please forgive me....

BECAUSE THEY CAN'T READ!
Their Bible does not say "Judge not, lest ye be judged" but judge not, lest ye be NOT Judged.
King James-Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Young's literal-Judge not, that ye may not be judged
Darby-1Judge not, that ye may not be judged
NIRV-Do not judge others. Then you will not be judged.
Wycliff-Do not ye deem, that ye be not deemed
20thcentKJV-Judge not, that ye be not judged.
You see, Christianity teaches that everyone is judged, and people who read the "lest ye be judged" translation see no reason not to judge people... since they are all getting judged anyways.
But if you actually read the verse in the originals, or even in the King James version, it doesn't say "Judge not" or you will be judged, but Judge not, or else you will not be judged, instead, the measure YOU METE will be used upon you....
In otherwords, if you judge, you are not judged by god, but given the judgement you gave others....
So, if you walk around saying people are going to hell, you're going to hell.
I don't know why Christians don't know their own holy book, that's scary, scary, scary. Glad I am not one.

Not A Christian but I can read.

As you have heard probably a hundred freaking times....you are putting a "label" on all christians and that is not right. Actually, it is a little judgemental, wouldn't you say? Most Christians do believe Catholics and Mormons are Christians because they believe that we can only obtain eteranl life through Jesus Christ. It sounds like you have had some experiences with a few people that claim they are Christian, but are actually as you said above, not. But, if you went and spoke with a wide variety of Christians you would find that most know that it is against the teaching of Jesus to judge people and they try not to do Christians are not "perfect". We are just plain and simple sinners just like everyone else walking this earth. We do mess up sometimes and pass a judgement or two when we shouldn't. But, don't non-christians do that also? HMMM.

According to God there is only One Church... Those of The True Christian Faith do not "judge", that is God's Job... but God has already done so on a number of subjects...and He has given His word on them... And who is in The Church, and who can become, is clearly defined.... Those who only know mormon teaching can not be in The Church as they do not know The Way to get in.... And those of the Roman catholic are not given The Truth of The Salvation Message so they can not Find The Way either... unless they find it outside of the teaching of The RC cult.

The teaching of The True Christian Faith can not be imposed upon others. The True Christian will not meekly accept deliberate attack against The Church. But The Christian will not initiate conflict with those of different beliefs.

I totally agree with you, I am a Mormon and in the sense that I believe in Jesus Christ and know Him to be my Savior and Redeemer, I think that clearly identifies me as a "christian".. but whatever. I agree though, people get too hung up on "oh well you aren't a christian like ME so you are wrong or going to 'burn in hell'." Whatever. I know what I believe and I know God knows what I believe and that's all that matters. If more people would focus on being Christ-like instead of who is who, the world would be a lot better place.

Congrats LabGrrl -- great answer.

This answer looks like a direct quote from Deuteronomy VI with Jesus inserted.

Mark 12:29-31
29 Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. 30 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’[a] 31 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] No other commandment is greater than these.”

Is there anything "original" in the Christian book?
.

nice point, as for the catholic bashing i feel it is because anti catholicism is so rampant especially in america,it has been said it is the last acceptable form of bigotry/racism in america. being christian is being christian by both words and actions, sadly many proclaim to be christian but it is self evident at times when you look towards how they act that they are not........i am not a perfect christian at times and never portray myself in that light. as a roman catholic i pray that our seperated brothers and sisters in christ begin to see through the anti catholic sources etc and again this doesn't apply to all christians ofcourse but is just something i have noticed. i do feel most branches of christianity preach tolerance but it does come down to the time old phrase "practice what you preach",sorry for the cliche but it is still relevant to all aspects of christian tolerance. god bless.

Sad, isn't it. As others posters above have suggested, I would say that these people do not come close to understanding or following the core message in the actual teachings of Jesus, which is basically love, forgiveness, acceptance, kindness, tolerance.......................completely the opposite of passing judgment on or condemning others.

If so-called adherents to all of the world's great religions did actually LIVE by the essential principles of their professed faiths, this planet would be AT PEACE!!

being a christian myself, i try not to judge, lest i be judged by the same measure and try not to remove the speck from my brother's eye until i remove the log from my own.

if people would drop the freakin legalism of the 1000+ "flavors" and just follow Jesus' teachings, everyone would get along a whole lot better (in my opinion)

Christians should be concerned about Love.
If I believe my sons playing with fire will cause him to be burned I will warn him WITH the truth (you will get burned)
That IS NOT judgment.......

Too bad you are willing to be so prejudice towards all Christians

Christianity is a bunch of humans trying to follow the teachings of Jesus. Jesus teaches love and compassion, forgiveness and service to your fellow man. Humans are flawed and they can be judgmental, stupid, mean, intolerant, ignorant, and a whole long list of other things. Notice I said humans, not just Christian humans. We all have the ability to make wrong choices. We all have pride in varying degrees and we all make mistakes.

Don't judge God by what you see in flawed human beings. Check out for yourself what Jesus teaches. Don't let your ignorance and the mistakes of others cost you your life.
