i am doing a study of the opinion of the general public on US laws. what do you think about taxes, school laws, gun laws, privacy laws, banned material, censorship, general rights and freedoms, etc? not limited to these just a general topic where any opinion about anything is accepted. due to confusion i will state why i have chosen categories not involving the question asked, which is simply put that you can not get a general opinion by addressing a single group, and i know many of us don't get on here and go strait to law and political sections to comment on. therefor i am addressing many groups, from many ages, backgrounds, and interests, not singling out a group only interested in such matters. thanks.

* How do you feel about US laws? give me your opinion? *

The Laws of The United States are in general well thought out. It's in the practical application that it stumbles.

It's the application of the Law that is suspect and
subject to personal prejudices. Two individuals breaking the same law can and usually does yield vastly different results. The outcome actually in most cases depends on who you are or how much money and or clout you have. These things in and of themselves are not necessarily bad things.

Usually the poor, so called minorities and undesirables suffer the effects of this perversion the most. The unfortunates receive more than their fair share of the law and of this there is no doubt. Laws are subject to individual preferences in its application and in this there is no doubt. Would be better if that were otherwise.

The majority of our senators and representatives are lawyers by profession, and they continually enact laws that perpetuate their profession. So, if you encounter a bad law keep on digging and you usually can find a counter to that bad law. IE Lawyers creating work for lawyers.
