why does winrar keep not extracting files because they are 'corrupt'?

whenever i use winrar to extract a game or video file it always says "failed - the volume is corrupt" why does it keep on doing this?

Get Zipgenius, much better than winrar plus its free.

Run chkdsk on your hard drive.

Go to My Computer and right click your C: drive and then click Properties. Go to the Tools tab and click the Check Now... button.

* try downloading it again it may be winrar
