Well...I read that with hypnosis you can change your mind (I don't know what would be the write word here, but I guess that's "mind", my english still is a lame..sorry, hope you'll understand what I mean)..but I also heard that hypnosis is extremely dangerous and can be done only by pro's, and only if you totally count on that person, so I also read little bit about selfhypnosis, but I'm still not shore should I start to practise that? Please please give me some advice about this, I have a big reason to try this..

Self hypnosis is a powerful tool for change. It is natural, safe, simple and can change many a problem that is hard to overcome by other means.

As a hypnotherapist, I help people to stop smoking, loose weight, get ride of any phobia, overcome anxiety, get ride of traumas and so on. Very high success rate.

It is a purely natural process that every human and most animals do so many times in a day. The moment of waking up and of going to sleep, the concentrating of ones focus, the application of a skill, all are forms of hypnosis.

As to danger, as long as you stay within the simple stuff, like the problems I have listed above, you will be OK. Problems arise if you start to regress yourself to earlier times when you had some sort of a trauma.

As to who is dangerous using it. The healing religious groups who do the big gatherings. They claim that they are using Gods power and stuff. Well the news is - its actually hypnosis. Just watch what they do, it is undiluted stage hypnosis. The danger is that they are using it to 'cure' deep problems that need ancillary psychological tools.

Self-hypnosis is different from hypnosis. It mostly consists of "positive-reinforcement" exercises. You are usually working in a meditative state, in order to tap into your "sub" or "supra conscious" self.

I wont say that neither of the two work; but I, personally, think both (hypnosis and self-hypnosis) are overrated.

Some exercises require listening to recordings during that meditative-state, but I don't suggest those. If there is any risk, it would be there.

The Power of the Subconscious Mind is a popular source for knowledge in this field, though it isn't a book specifically for self-hypnosis.

While it may seem simple enough, I suggest setting goals for yourself to overcome whatever vice oppresses you; because, remember, the best way to achieve something is to know what it takes to do so, and be that thing. Effectiveness begins with self-knowledge and adaptability.

Trust me, I've experimented alot in past years.

Self-hypnosis isn't exactly what people think it is. Almost all of us do it every single day, and don't even realize it. Have you ever found yourself staring out a window, spaced-out? (And then you suddenly realize a friend or family member has been saying your name and is waving their hand in front of your face.) That's self-hypnosis.

This is allowing someone other than God and other than yourself to control your mind. Not a good thing to do. The only One able to change minds is God. Ask the Lord to help instead of hypnosis. You will receive better results.

Self-hypnosis for medical purposes is not only safe, but very helpful.

My mother used self-hypnosis to ease pain from a life-long disease she has. It taught her how to relax deeply, helping her body to release natural pain blockers.
