I don't usually eat cheese, but i need to be at a healthy weight

Too much of anything, even broccoli, will make you gain weight. To gain weight, I recommend lots of high calorie HEALTHY foods and strength train so you put on some muscle and not just fat. (Healthy high calorie foods include nuts, avocados, bananas, peanut butter, etc.)

It depends- are you going to put any mustard or mayo on the sandwich? Are you going to eat anything else with the sandwich? A plain cheese sandwich by itself isn't going to do much for weight gain, but if you have on with 4 slices of cheese, mustard, and mayo on white bread witha side of cheese fries and a large non-diet Coke, that's a good start.

Cheese makes a lot of people constipated. So in that respect cheese may help you gain a load.
