Find a new chiropractor. Normally the first time you may feel a little stiffness from where muscles were moved and stuff but the second time there should be nothing. And never any pain.

I worked as a Chiropractic assistant for 15 years and the answer to your question is yes. Your body is adjusting to the nerves that have been pinched by your subluxation. As the nerves are released you'll feel the discomfort but after a few visits you will start feeling great.

When you get adjusted, even if you've been getting it done for awhile, toxins are released when your bones and muscles move around, causing you to feel a bit out of it. They should have told you to drink lots of water and take it easy.

And it does get worse before it gets better. It sucks.

I think that they do something to releive it for a little while and make it worse later. I only went there once, he tried to snap me in half. Jokes on him i'm really flexible so he did't crack anything that I can't. But I would suggest going to a docter not a wanna be.

If you were really out of place then it will hurt to be put back in place. Think about it...your body is so used to one position that when you are put in the correct position it thinks "HEY THIS ISN'T RIGHT!" If you continue to hurt after adjustments then you may want a second opinion somewhere, but give it a little bit of time for your body to adjust.
