no...not all credit cards have monthly fees. I would suggest not getting a credit card at all. Save your money and buy with cash....you will be happier in the long run. Some bad decisions can be made with credit.

Nope. In fact, most credit cards have either an annual fee or no fee at all. It's hard to say which one is best because they're all offering different deals, but you have to be careful with American Express and Discover -- not all places take them. Your best bet is a Visa or MasterCard that gives you either cash back on purchases or frequent flyer miles that never expire. And yes, it's always a good idea to have at least one credit card because you never know when you may need to buy something without running to the bank for cash or you may need a credit card to make a reservation or to rent a car (they don't take debit cards at car rental places anymore).

They all have varying monthly finance charges , if you don't pay the full amount each time the bill arrives. Finance charges fluctuate, so if you got one now at 0- 5%, that could change in a flash at the discretion of the credit card company, so there really is no card that is better than another. My personal policy is , don't buy anything on credit that you don't already have the money in hand to cover. This is how too many Americans get into such a deep financial hole, it would take an excavation company 2 months to dig them out to ground level. Take heed in what I say, and stay out of the poorhouse.

I suggest you locate a Credit Union and make a deposit. Then get a Debit or Credit card from them....99% of the time you will not be able to get a more honest shake for your money....and if you ever need a car loan...you'll love it...

My cards, Capital One and Tesco, have no monthly fees, and Tesco actually give me points worth about 1%. I absolutely refuse to use any card requiring fees. They rob you twice.
