I was thinking of getting the phrase, "Love me for me" tattoo'd on my arm, is that phrase stupid - not the tattoo the phrasing.

yeah kinda. It already sounds cliche and I've never even heard it before.

I personally wouldn't get that phrase tattooed on me, but it also depends on your personality, is it something you live by or say all the time. think of these and think about if you want to be reading that in 80 yrs. they say if you think about it for about 5 years, then you know you will like it, but 5 years is a long time. I suggest thinking about it for at least 6 months. maybe take a permanent marker or something and draw it on, see what you think of it in a few days.

I think it sounds really nice. One thing to think abou though. The arm is a very visible place (depending on what part exactly), and you have to think about the profession you are in, or will be in. Will having a visible tattoo hurt your chances for a job? In a trade, probably not, but if you want to be something like an accountant, many places might not hire you because of it. Maybe not all places will care, but it's something to consider.

It depends on how you intend to have it. If it is just the four words in a row on your arm, than yes. If it's in some sort of design/picture on the inside of your arm, that is considerably less stupid. You will want to put it on the inside of your arm or someplace else on your body because one day you might need a job that doesn't like tattoos.

who cares if its stupid, if you like it then get it. There are so many other people with with stupid tattoos (some one has a picture of an armchair) trust me they had to have a reason for getting even though other people might not like it. Its your choice and any way the pharse is not in anyway stupid.

I think that is a good phrase, but I would think about placement, depending on your age, you may not have the career that you will have the rest of your life.

Personaly I dont think that would be a phrase I would put on my body... unless it has meaning to you such as you were in an abusive relationship and learned to love yourself again.

The phrase isn't stupid at all. If this means something to you, than do it. All my tattoos are names, pictures, designs and works that mean something to me.

I think that is unique!!! Just make sure it is tasteful and that you can live with it 20 years from now...I am having that problem picking out my first tattoo...where to put it and what for it to be...but that sounds very interesting and nice even...good luck!!!

As long as you're happy with it, then go for it. I like the sentiment, personally. My only concern is that you're worried people'll think it's 'stupid'; so maybe you need to hang on for a while until you're comfortable with your own opinion being the one that counts.

Good luck; have fun getting tattoed if you decide to go for it!

It might seem cool now, but think about the year 2030..when you are older with children and a job, will it still have the same meanings to you? will it still be considered good and appropriate for your job and lifestyle? those are all things to consider before getting something permanently inked on your skin.
