i heard some people said that we need 4 hours for our food to digest, so does it means that if i eat at 12am then i have to sleep at 4am so that i will not grow fat. but some people says that it is to eat before 8pm- dinner, so that we will not grow fat.. which is true?

it's really not about when you eat, it's about what you eat.

you can eat directly before going to bed (30 min prior) it just depends on what you are consuming.

for "optimum" loss of body fat and gains in muscle mass you want to keep the body in a catabolic state for a little over the course of the day. this means eating a light meal/snack etc. about 30 minutes prior to retiring. this can be something like a protein shake, cottage cheese, egg white, etc. an easily digestible protein source. this provides the muscles with amino acids for growth during sleep and does not disrupt serum insulin levels.

not eating after "x" pm has no proven merit. it certainly does not enhance fat loss and it certainly does not prevent the loss of muscle mass the occurs during the nightly fast. obviously you wouldn't want to eat a bowl of pasta late at night but protein based foods are a green light for late night meals.

Italians devour dinner after 9 pm. They devour pasta and oils and bread and wines. maximum Italians (in Italy) are skinny. A calorie is a calorie is a calorie. as long as you aren't any more eating more suitable than you elect, you'd be high-quality. For some human beings, notwithstanding, eating overdue would not enable sufficient time to digest earlier mattress and it creates reflux (heartburn). It relies upon on what you devour and how overdue you devour it, notwithstanding it would not make any huge difference in burning energy.

No one should eat anything after 7 pm. The stomach needs to "rest" in order to function properly. Eating after 7 pm doesn't allow it to do that because its up another 2 - 4 hours digesting food, and processing gastric acids.

Well, assuming you have a normal bed time (9-11pm) I wouldn't eat anything substantial after 7pm. You can have a small snack before bed, but not a meal or anything.
