Why do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front?

lol great point!!! i imagine it is to provide a little more privacy for the people that are sick. i wouldn't want everyone seeing me getting yeast infection meds at the front of the store!!

Because its a drugstore, not a clinic. If the pharmacy was in the front, it would block the flow of non-pharmacy customers. But at least Walgreens has that nice little area where people can sit and wait for prescriptions and its quiet enough for pharmacists to give instructions.

Besides, if you had something embarrassing like crabs, would you want to be in the front of a drugstore?

Drugstores need to protect their drugs so the further away harder to steal. Cigs are locked up front so people have to be carded.
