I'm 30 and even though I'm female, I think I can put my two cents in on this one. Everyone has to have an initial attraction first. If you're not attracted to the person, how can you see yourself being intimate with that person? So, yes, looks are what will get a man's attention first, as well as for women! But if the woman doesn't have a personality (as well as a man), it just doesn't work out. It takes both to make a relationship work. Can you picture yourself with someone who doesn't have a personality and is hot? Or an unattractive man with a great personality? Or a man with neither? Or a man with both? Of course you're gonna choose the man with both!

I dont care what age Looks are ALWAYS going to make a Huge differance and be the First thing someone is attracted to. It takes a long time to get to really know someones true personallity.
But to answer: I am 29 and Definatly Looks.....

by far i would have to say PERSONALITY! when you consider that looks are constantly changing with time and nobody is going to look the same at 10 as they do at 15, or at 15 and 20.....its a fact of life.....we age, we wrinkle, we die....cant escape it so might as well dwell on something a little deeper when it comes to relationships and love...otherwise everyone is going to continually break up with each other trying to find someone better looking...if you base it all on personality, you'll more than likely last longer since personality is one of the few traits in a person that remain constant throughout the person's life.

Robin, I think that if you find a good man that the personality comes first and then the looks. For a man that just wants "the nasty" looks are the only thing that counts. My older brother is like that. All of the girls he brings home are pretty but not one of them has a brain! For most guys though looks and personality counts. If you have a good personality but you are UGLY, then you may just be their good friend. If you are Pretty but you have NO BRAINS then you may just be a one night stand. Hop I helped and Good Luck!

I'm 31... **Personality**!! I've been with more then a few hot chicks, and it seems like most have no idea how to be funny, nice or smart/mature. Not ALL.. but most. Try talking to a hot chick with no sense of humor and more concerned with her hair then being nice to people... It aint fun. And is a waste of time. I would rather spend the whole day with a chick that has a little bit of personality, then 1 minute with a hot chick with none.

Unfortunately, LOOKS. They will always care more about that than personality. Have you ever seen a man turn his head in awe over a not so attractive yet great character girl? Nope! And it doesn't even matter what they themselves look like. They will date a hot chick and then not care about how dumb she is. I've seen alot of that. lol. Bye the way...26 on the 21st of this month.

Both matter. 22 next month.
Appearance: as long as you aren't ugly (i.e. scared or have some weird skin condition that causes you to look really old) you are fine. Acne can be treated.
Personality: This is tough to explain. Let me put it this way: I would never date a girl that I felt was naive/ignorant or compliant. I like smart, assertive women that are going to let me know if there is something they want.
I have tried and moved on from the shy-types, shy girls don't give any sort of feedback (spoken or otherwise) and aren't worth my time.
Just go to school, do well then go to college.

Guys go on looks at first but then they expect a great personality. That's why it's better to fall for a guy who has known you and your personality for a while. Then you're sure the attraction goes beyond looks. I'm 42.
