The six 13 is a pretty serious bike for someone who doesn't know anything about it. There are few production bikes in its category. The higher end Trek Carbon bikes, The Giant TCR/OCR series (depending on components), etc. If you're not an experienced rider, this bike will startle you. It has american racing geometry so it is exceptionally quick and light. Some might even call it 'twitchy'. Essentially, this bike is made for racing criteriums.

You might want to take it easy on rough roads for a while, until you're fit and used to the bike. Too much Too fast on this bike will beat you up.

light, stiff, and responsive. It will beat you up on rough roads because of the stiffness. Unless Cannondale has changed recently, their road bikes tend to run on the big side so you might look at the next smaller frame. The one color to avoid is the polished aluminum & carbon. They have had problems with the clear coat flaking off at the joints due to the way it is made. The painted frames have no problems with this.
Bikes that would give it a run for the money:
Cervelo R3 or the carbon soloist
Giant TCR advanced or the TCR C series (the OCR series is a relaxed "sport" geometry & a touch longer in the chainstays).
check some of the Litespeeds and some of the Bianchi stuff along with the Specialized Tarmac series.

The Cannondale Six13 is an excellent bike. I have been riding one for about two years now. It is a light and efficient frame with a geometry that fits me very well. I have had several Cannondales and this is my favorite yet. In this price range, you could also look at carbon frames from both Trek and Specialized. Fuji also makes a very light team issue frame which I think is a value. If you want higher end, check out the Cervelo R3. It is probably my favorite frameset on the market right now.
