If he has a plan for all of us.... then how do we explain all of the people in Africa & Asia who suffer in agony, and starve & die every day? To me, that's not much a "plan" at all. That's why people who say that "God has a plan for me" can get on my nerves sometimes.

Perhaps His plan for you is to do something (If you are not doing it now) about hunger. How about giving up a CD and send that money for the poor.

P.S. Gods plan and man's action can be two different things

Satan's rebellion for one example.

God does, indeed, have a plan for all of us. But that doesn't mean that we all agree with or participate in it. Because we all can make free choices, the plan often doesn't come to fruition.

For example, if all the politicians in the world were to stop all the self serving politics and get serious about those starving people, how long would it take to see an actual difference happen there? Rather, they choose to focus on things that aren't always in the interests of others.

God can't be held accountable when we make wrong decisions.

However, if we take the steps to cooperate with God's plan, and allow God to use us to move forward, then that plan will surely come to pass.

It will be a great plan because God wants you to be happy MORE than you do. Can you imagine what could be in store for you when you're cooperating with a God like that?

I was raised a catholic. I do not believe God has a specific plan for any of us. That is contradictory to the notion of free will. God provided us a universe. It is up to us to scratch out any meaning or purpose to our lives that we see fit. If we are judged, we will be judged by how we treated others while we were doing it. Anyone, pope, priest, whoever, who tells you any different is a liar, a coward, a brainwashed idiot, or all of them put together. God does not want us to do good because we are afraid to go to hell. God wants us to do good because it's the right thing to do, regardless of the rewards or punishments. It takes courage to accept that God has left us alone to work this all out by ourselves. Don't be a scared little sheep and follow any religion that promises you salvation or answers to life's problems. Religion has no answers, especially when it comes to the suffering of the innocent. Religion only divides people. Make up your own mind. Always seek to learn more and improve your ability to make the right decisions to make the little part of the world around you better. Follow your conscience.

Your logic is faulty, for you were assuming that the people in Africa and Asia that surrounded area are actually living God's will or plan. Perhaps they are doing something that is abhorrent to God. And as a result of that, they create their own hell on earth. We don't know and we can't say.

God has had a plan for each of us from the beginning. God gave us free will. We can chose to follow Him or not. When we turn away from Him he cannot protect us. I am not saying that those people are bad, but all this is caused because of our sinful natures. Not following His will brings more heartache and pain. Those people suffiering is a result of what we have done to our world. We made our bed, we need to lie in it.

It's a difficult question to answer without either being vague about God's intentions or putting the onus back on you, personally.
Of course, there's always blaming an amorphous entity, in this case, either "Man", a far off "Government" or that old favourite, "Satan".

I must say, with the perspective of an outsider to Christianity that I am appalled at the number of excuses that are made, and the amount of blame passing that goes on.

Yes, I sponsor a child in Africa, yes, through a religious organisation. They were very good employers to me and I felt the only decent thing to do was to 'return the favour', so when I was on my feet, financially speaking, I got in touch with them,. and the rest is creative journalism taking up another page while I sing my own praises.

People have been starving and dying all though history.

Hebrews 11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

They that remain faithful to Him are blessed to a better life.

Maybe solving the plight of the people in Africa and Asia is the plan God has for you.

actually God has a plan for all of us humans, the problem is we think that God's plan is so individualistic rather than societal.

with this, you ought to understand that the poverty being experienced in africa and asia is a consequence of each human being including us

---coming from an asian who believes in GOD

But that is NOT God's plan for their lives!

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Then if it's Not God's plan then who's is it?

"The THIEF comes only to steal and kill and destroy
I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10)

Who is the THIEF? Its NOT God! Then it must be the Enemy of God!

God DOES have a 'Plan'

All this that is happening - saddens me - However Isreal DID became a Nation Again in 1948 - That shows we are in the 'Latter Days'! Things in the Bible that have been Prophicied for 2000+ years are Now Happening and Able to Happen - All of the Horrors, Wars, Rumors of Wars, Eathquakes in Diverse Places, Pestilences and Famines..

Jesus Himself in Matthew 24 tells us that these are the beginning of the sorrows. He also tells us that we should Not be troubled.

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kindom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and pestilences, and eathquakes in divers places. All these are the begining of sorrows. Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betrey one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity (sin) shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end , the same shall be saved." Matthew 24 6-13.

This is the Word of the Lord. 'This' is what is happening - it is the begining of the sorrows waiting for the Rapture - which Jesus was talking about as far as the timing. To me it is very clear - that WE (This Generation) Are In the 'Latter Days'. It's Man that has created these problems - they have not learned to 'love eachother' especially on the Cross - "Weap not for me. Forgive them, for they not know what they do."

This is what answers these questions to me.

Take Care and God Bless!
