usually typical time is 2-3 months before wedding cause if you go to far ahead you may get a bunch of calls from cake people and such wanting your business. plus if you are wanting to just let people know then just to 2-3months cause you may also get the old friends taht want to come and you don't want them to come try to get invited from you. This way you can say sorry it is to close and all the final head count and all that is done. it is alot less hassel and stress jsut stick with 2-3months before wedding.

I would wait until you have set a date for the wedding. Once that is done, the engagement picture should go in the paper 6 months before the wedding.

Had our engagement picture/announcement in the paper late 2006, our wedding is June 2008.

Each paper has its own guidelines for this. Usually within a month of the wedding for a wedding announcement. Contact the paper/s you are considering being published in.

We put it in 2 weeks before our wedding. I'm afraid that random people will show up to the ceremony and reception. That seems to be a trend around here.

Whenever you want. It is advised to NOT put your wedding date or much information in it- as people tend to find your home during the wedding and rob you :(

1 year to 6 months.. check the prices first!! We skipped it because they wanted $500 to print it!!!
