The Bible talks about both.
We have had anti-christs in the past.
Hitler was AN anti-christ.
But THE anti-christ hasn't come yet.

The Antichrist means THE "instead of Christ "2nd Thessalonians 2: 3 , " Don't let anyone deceive you in any way , for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and THE man of lawlessness is revealed, THE man DOOMED to destruction. HE will oppose and exalt Himself over every thing that is called God or is worshiped , so that he sets himself up in God's temple proclaiming himself to be God ".
You see how this man is referred to in the singular every time.
and this man is nothing more than Satan himself. How do I know that? Because doesn't it say the anti Christ is Doomed?
Well the only person who is already judged to die even before the Great white throne judgment is Satan. It is written that he will be turned into ashes from within. Your documentation for that is in the book of revelation. It is abundantly clear that the AntiChrist is Satan himself . Yes Satan has any number of representatives , backers, followers and maybe his type of John the Baptists ,but there is only one Antichrist. and he will be on earth in person for 5 months and then the real Christ comes . So if you have to hear from someone else that christ is here don't believe them. And if you have to tell someone that Christ is here then he is not. It is written that we will all know Christ is here at the very same time, no matter what. Now you know.

In the middle of the Seven Year Tribulation, the Antichrist will show his true colors, the Peace Treaty between Israel and the Arab countries will dissolve into nothing. The Antichrist will move his headquarters from Babylon to the temple in Israel. All Old Testament animal sacrifices will stop. He will order all religion where he rules including Islam to cease. At this time he will proclaim all must wear his mark '666' either on their forehead or on their right hand and that without this mark, no one can buy or sell anything at all and those that refuse the mark will be executed to death.
He will order the total destruction of the nation of Israel and her people. Then he will hear tidings from the north country and from the kings of the east country coming to make war with the Antichrist. He will then stop his attack on Israel and deal with these mulitple invading countries which will last the better part of the last 3 and a half years. This will be the battle of Armageddon the Bible predicted about with the nations of the world in the valley of decisions. Then the heavens will roll back like a scroll. The armies of Heaven (all the saints of all ages) will be wearing white robes and riding on white horses. The lead One will be riding on a white horse, the Lord Jesus Christ. The name written upon His thigh, King of kings and Lord of lords. His robe will be dipped in Blood. He will destroy the armies of the Antichrist and the armies of the nations in that day. He will throw the Antichrist and the False Prophet alive into the Lake of Fire. He will lock up Satan and all fallen angel and every demon spirit for a thousand years. Our Lord will set up His earthly Kingdom and will make Jerusalem His headquarters for a thousand years.
"Because thou hast kept the Word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."
Rev.3:10.

No they're the same exact thing. The word "anti" means opposite, or opposed to or against. So if Jesus stood for love, peace, and compassion and understanding... the anti-Christ, or AntiChrist would stand for the exact opposite. In other words, if Jesus was the ultimate good, then the anti-Christ would be the ultimate evil.

An anti-Christ is any person that does not believe in God, hates him, or presents false teaching about it. The Antichrist, capitalized, is the man who will appear during the Tribulation, after the Rapture of the church, and will be possessed by Satan.

the two. It speaks (in a million John) of "many anti-christs" who stand in opposition to the message of Christ. yet additionally states that there will be an "maximum suitable" Anti-Christ who will stand against God on the tip of time. The term is used the two procedures in the scripture.

They mean the same to me. There is, as I breifly explained to you before, antichrist thought, and THE Antichrist. THE Antichrist is a person who will be revealed. antichrist thought is that which lies about God, especially the Christ, Jesus.

anti has 2 meanings the 1st is against and the 2nd is instead of or in place of.
most understand the 1st but not the 2nd.
the title of the pope in latin is,"VICARIVS FILII DEI." This means instead of or in place of the Son of God which is the same meaning as antichrist. this is written in roman numerals which add up to 666.
the beats which was and is not yet is, always someone to take his place-the pope. he opposes christ with his false doctrines thus he is against christ and he sets himself instead of or in place of the Son of God. he does both
