I am sorry you experienced that. If I was among them, I hope you will forgive me. Do your recall whether or not I offended you?

I have made several observations about Christians lately. First and foremost I have noticed that all of the Christians that I know are very happy people. I believe that this gives a solid foundation to the old cliche 'ignorance is bliss'. If only I were ignorant enough to believe that an untangible being had total control over my life and all I had to do was sit back and enjoy the ride, then I could be blindly happy also. Maybe ignorance really is bliss.

It's not irrational to want to have faith; religion provides comfort in a dangerous and unknown world. So that's their right to do so...whatever gets them through the day.

But when they start believing their own stories (eating their own dog food, or drinking their own Kool Aid, etc.), and become rabid or adamant about it, then that becomes problematic for others, who also have a right to beleive what they want.

The problem with religion is that if you are a person guided by reason and logic (a person who uses his/her brain), there's little support for religion. But religious zealots are blind to that fact and will point to (relatively much smaller) holes in the evolution theory (which does have support in reason and logic) in tryingto show that their view is just as valid (which it's not).

Faith can be a dangerous thing.

Not the ones I know in my personal life. The ones on here tend to be more extreme....maybe it's the anonymity.
