I personally like Principles of Electric Circuits, 6th ed., by Thomas L. Floyd. ISBN 0-13-095997-9 Comes with analysis software, covers both AC and DC, is very user friendly, and has lots of practical examples.

Get the Amrican Radio Relay League ham radio handbook. It's called the ARRL Handbook. Amazon and everyplace else has it. It will assume you know nothing and educate you as much as you want to dig into it. No calculus ...just common sense.
