As none of us will ever know whilst we're in this life, I see no point in wondering about it ! ! !

We believe in Paradise and Hell. Paradise is the abode of enjoyment which God, the Exalted, prepared for the righteous. The blessing they enjoy there, no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard of, and no human being has ever imagined: "No soul knows what comfort is kept hidden for them, as a reward for that which they used to do." (32:17) Hell is the abode of punishment which God has prepared for the unbelievers and the evildoers. The torture and horror in it cannot be imagined

without it, God would not be the Just and Wise and merciful God He is. God created men and made them responsible for their actions; some behaved well but others did not. If there is no future life in which the virtuous are rewarded and the vicious are punished, there would be no justice and the creation of men in that way and the sending of Prophets to them would be to no purpose at all. But this kind of behaviour is not expected of a man known to be rational and just, let alone the Perfect Creator.

Without belief in this Day on which everyone will receive his just deserts (when the wrongdoers are justly punished and the righteous are rewarded bountifully), man would lose the impetus to behave fairly towards others and the oppressed would grow hopeless and miserable.

Belief in the Hereafter is an essential element that helps to control human delinquency and establish collective happiness and virtues in society.

If there isn't life after death then I for one will be very disappointed. However even more important than life after death is life before death, and I'm endeavouring to that as best I can ... and so should the rest of mankind.

As for sandcastles on the beach well if you think they're destroyed by the waves how wrong you are. The spirit of the sandcastle lives on...

I believe in life after death. Not life as we now know it but life in an eternal state with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and all of God's children.

Suppose you're at the beach and you make a nice big fancy sandcastle, complete with moat and turrets and so on. Later, the tide comes in and washes it all away - the sand gets spread around the beach and all trace of your sandcastle disappears.

Where did it go? Well, clearly the castle didn't 'go' anywhere as such - it was a temporary arrangement of grains of sand that went to make up something recognisable to us, and when the sea washed it away, it simply ceased to exist. Another day, someone else might come along and make another castle using some of the same sand that went into your castle, but the one you made is gone and can never exist again.

This is how it is with human beings - we are recognisable to ourselves and others as living organisms, but fundamentally we are temporary constructions of atoms and molecules and will one day simply cease to exist. Just as the sandcastle consists solely of the sand from which it is made, so human beings consist solely of the atoms and molecules of which they are made. When we die, our bodies will be returned to the environment to be incorporated into new living organisms, or to fall as rain, or to make the bedrock of a million years from now. We are ephemeral creatures, a brief pattern of order and complexity imposed on the raw material of the natural world. We should make the most of it, for this is all there is.

No life after death.
No magical mystery tour when you die.
No existance on a spiritual plain nonsense.
You die, you're buried, and the energy that was you is consumed by the microbes, insects, and animals of the earth in order for them to maintain their life.

Well the Bible tells us that whoever has their spirit Born Again by repenting of their sins and trusting in Jesus- they will after physical death have ever lasting life with Jesus. So I believe in what ever the Bible says.

YES!! I definately do! It's doesn't just end when the herse stops at our grave. Watching my grandfather pass, was the most moving thing I have ever seen. It's just as if God was right there in the room. He could see the angels, he could see his brothers and sisters, he kept asking me if I could see them...ahhh it just moves me to tears... it's compltely undeniable. I hope I pass with the same peace he had.
