What do you think I go home to? Only one pays it any mind but she pays it ALOT of mind. Should I go home and guard my fish?

It's a 30 gallon tank. Weighs about 250#. I'm more worried about the cat falling in than tipping it over!!

Oh, the tank has a complete glass top. They can't go fishing.

If it's too heavy to tip, and has a good cover, the worst you'll find is a very frustrated cat.

If the tank has a complete glass top I'm not sure how the cat could fall in.
The cat would have to be able to push the top off of the tank and frankly that would take some doing.

How about building a simple wooden frame to go over the top of the tank, and then stapling wire mesh screen to it. That way, the cat can't fall in, and the cat can't have fish for lunch...
Something like this doesn't need to be left on all the time, just when you're not there...

i would just watch for a while. I have had cats that loved to go fishing(but never caught anything, the fish can swim away and hide behind a plant), but more of my cats just liked to watch, my two now love to play in water, so they paw around in the tank, the other likes to drink the water(it tastes like fish and fish food, yum).
Just keep the lid shut, if you are really worried, but something heavy on the lid so your cat can't open it.
The tank weighs too much for her to knock over, so don't worry about that.

I have a sofa desk (tall and Long) I put in front of my aquarium stand so the cat has its own spot to watch the fishies swim.

Hmm... well, is there anyway you can have someone check on them? Or can you go home and get the cats? Cats are mischevious little creatures. I would do whatever I could to check up on them.

Cover the closest surface around the tank where kitty would be with tinfoil, apparently they don't like being on it, that could also help.
