Where to start? If you are a basically good person, you are not a sinner. Even if you were, there is no God, so you can't be punished by him.
Have you not noticed that the nastiest, meanest, most horrible people you know are the ones with the nice house, nice car, easy job and sparklingly good health?
And don't even go near "Free Will" - I did not choose to have the health problems I inherited from my forbears? I would choose to get rid of them, but there is no God to help me!!

All people (all people are sinners) will be judged at the final judgement. This includes Christians or people of any other faith. I have no reason to believe that God punishes people today for what they do today etc.

No He doesn't punish sinners because He has given free will, so sinners punish themselves by not doing God's will and sending themselves to Hell.

It depends...
We dont know the mind of our LORD, but, I believe that Satan has control over the sinner and he has his way. You find that most sinners lead an "easy life" where a lot of Christians lead hard lives.
The LORD seems to make sure that we are tested with Trials and Tribulations a lot, to see if our faith is strong. Some pass and some slide back into sin.
Its up to the LORD to do as HE wishes, but, in the end, lets face it, Hell is the ultimate destination for sinners, and I wouldnt want to spend eternity there!
I wish you well...

We need to remember that sin is a constant in our lives while we are yet on this earth (Romans 3:10, 23). And as such, we not only have to deal with God's discipline for our disobedience, but we also have to deal with the natural consequences resulting from sin. If a believer steals something, God will forgive him and cleanse him from the sin of theft, restoring fellowship between Himself and the repentant thief. However, the societal consequences of theft can be severe, resulting in fines or even jail time. These are natural consequences of sin and must be endured. But God works even through those to increase our faith and glorify Himself.

Yes, He does. But He forgives those who repent and accept that Jesus already paid the price for all human kind sin. Therefore everytime we sin we should ask Jesus to forgive us and try your best not to do it again. Unfortunately many people will not accept this simple fact as long as the live. There might be an illusion that the rest of the people who reject Jesus are living a lovely and wonderfull life, but at Judgement day the punishment will come and it will be bad.

Yes. But there can be two kinds of punishment. Temporary punishment; krima, and final punishment; katakrima.
Temporary punishment may be called chastening, as in 'Whom He loves He chastens.' It done to teach a lesson to those who are His to keep them from the more severe punishment.
Final punishment is for those who are not saved. It may be called 'condemnation'. I think that we get enough about that here, so I wont go into it.

No, people punish themselves. If they believe that God is mad at them for doing something then they will find something to go bad for them, even if it's a flat tire. I still have a hard time with people saying a God would punish them. You would think that a Supreme Being would be past petty stuff like that.

hey a newbie....
yea they got this place called Hell...where the mass majority of people are going...even if they choose not to accept it.
Tell me there is a God in the serene heavens that will damn his children for the expression of an honest belief!
More men have died in their sins, judged by the orthodox creeds, than there are leaves on all the forests in the wide world ten thousand times over.
Tell me these men are in hell; that these men are in torment; that these children are in eternal pain, and that they are to be punished forever and forever!
I denounce this doctrine as the bigest of lies."

NO!
He said the wages of sin is death (sin separates us from God, and in our separation from him we open the door up to many things,)!
Meaning there is a cause and effect for in everything we do. We reap what we sow. God is just trying to give us direction to keep us from dying.
Example: You can't put your hand in a fire without it burning. You made the choice to put your hand in the fire, God had nothing to do with that.
If you murder someone you risk going to prison, many things could happen to you while you are there. But God did not place you there, your actions did.
Guess what? God in all his love, does not kill. Death is an entity of Satan.
