I live in Indiana and we had 60 degree temps in November and now that it is April we have snow -- after we had 60's again for two weeks. I was wondering if anyone thought that the current weather changes had to do with global warming and the earth trying to "correct itself" so to speak in an attempt to make things right?

I'm not wanting to debate global warming here, and I should have made that clear. I want to know if the earth would try to fix itself if something really went amiss....

It doesn't have anything to do with the "myth" of "Global Warming".
Everything that's happening is the normal cycle of the planet. The ecology shifts and "flexes" to keep things in balance.

Global warming will likely lead to destabilization, but it is incredibly hard to pin yearly fluctuations of the weather on climate change. Climate is a longterm phenomenon, as in, on average over the last century temperatures have risen 1 degree Celsius (more than 1 degree F). Weather, of course, fluctuates much more than this, a typical day varying by as much as 10 degrees C.
What we do know is that where there is heat, there is energy. A warmer climate likely means more energetic weather patterns, and so in general we might expect all factors of the weather to be intensified. However, different regions will experience this in different ways. Many models predict Europe will become so cold that farming will be impossible while much of America will become so desertified that, well, farming will be impossible.

You can't really say anything about global warming based on short term weather in a specific location. You have to look at long term data over a wide area, like this:

http://www.ipcc.ch/SPM2feb07.pdf
That said, weather systems get their power from heat. So most climatologists think weather systems will become more extreme.
But you still can't say weather proves or disproves global warming. It's not something you can judge by your personal experience, you need to collect (or examine) long term data over a wide area.

Nope; it's just normal spring weather. Look through history at the record highs and lows and you'll see you're probably still within them
