No! Not at all. I used a nightlight untill I was around the age of 12, but then it broke, so now I don't have one. My parents offered me another one, but I said I didn't want one.
Now I sometimes fall alseep with the tv on.
Every kid is different. Some prefer to use a nightlight for a long time, while others don't. Therefore, it's not weird for your brother to still use a nightlight.
Hope I helped! =]

No it is not weird cause some people just do not like sleeping in the dark. I know of many adults who also use nightlight in their rooms. Nightlights are also good for safety reasons.

He is at a middle stage of moving into being a teenager. I would not think that its weird at all that he uses a nightlight right up until or before she starts high school. And don't tease him about it, it really could be a deep fear for him. He will not need it and get rid of it as soon as he is ready, just encourage him a little. Take care Heather

I hate to say this, but I'm 24, and I still use some sort of light. I have a logical reason though. I was tormented to the point to where I'd have the most God-awful nite terrors. I've gotten over most of it, but there's still something there that scares me, when I shut the light off. I turn the kitchen light off, and I have to run, practically into the bedroom door, just so I can get into bed, and cuddle with my husband or cover up, jsut so I can feel safe.
If he's still using a nightlite, then it's just a kid thing. Ask him why he still uses one, but don't be mean about it. Don't make it sound like you're tryin to make fun of him. If he tells you, even if the reason is stupid, or makes you want to laugh so hard you pee your pants, be nice, and tell him that there's nothing in the dark that's going to get him. Explain to him about being afraid of the dark, and being afraid of things IN the dark. There's a difference, and whichever he's afraid, he can beat it, and he doesn't have to be afraid of either one.

there isn't anything wrong or weird about a 10 yr old boy using a nightlight
some people have a greater fear of the dark then others
some will take a longer time to overcome this fear so juz let time do the job
when he grow older he will overcome this fear naturally

No ,not at all. Everyone has a fear of something . I'm an adult and I have a fear or spiders even though I know there are no poisonus ones where I live. we also all have a"security blanket" it may be a person ,place or an object . The night light is no big deal.

Nope. I am twenty five and still use a nigthlight. I am petrified of the dark. Yet, I live alone and function just fine. It's just one of those things. Everyone is scared of something.

Not at all. My sister uses one and she is 21. Its more for safety reasons cuz her room is so messy :) She is also afraid of the dark.
Its ok tho. Things could be worse. He could still be wetting the bed.
