i am most definitely snobby. i can't help it if i was brought up to like the better things in life and to have high expectations of people that surround me. and yes, i sometimes do think i am better than others.

i personally don't find anything wrong with that. it's not like i'm walking around telling people i am better than them, nor do i show it with my actions. i am still a very amiable person, just snobby.

Being secure in your own worth is just self-confidence, and there's nothing wrong with that. Some people will interpret that as being conceited and there's really nothing you can do about that.

But looking at your question, If you feel it's necessary to figure out who you are "better than" and who is "better than" you, then you can cop to being a snob. It's not just a recipe for vanity in the situation you describe but also a recipe for insecurity when you feel that you are around people "better than you." Nothing good comes of that kind of thinking.

Don't worry about "better than" any more. Just be good.

Same thing -- I'm really nice and all but there are times when people have said I'm a snob and I think I'm better then everyone else. Sometimes I do think I'm better but I am understanding and caring of other people too But I'm also very quiet when I first meet people so sometimes people don't read me very well.

I am not snobby. I can see why your friends think that you are snobby. There is a difference between not being insecure and thinking that you are better than other people.

No, I'm in the same boat. I mean, a class system is one thing, but there's just so much carrion out there that you can't help but feel better than others (although I know I'm not as good as many!),.

I have never been BETTER than anyone. I may have a better job, a nicer car, better clothing, and all kinds of 'betters' in my favor, but, I (personally) am NEVER better than anyone else.

Nobody in this world is better than anyone else! That's the problem with this world! We all think we are better and always right, which makes this world fight with everyone!
