No, God didn't breathe blood into Adam. Remember, the BLOOD by itself isn't life; it's what's IN the blood that brings and sustains life: oxygen, nutrients, etc.

You raise an interesting point, no doubt about it, and I applaud your scholarship. But the issue is, what is the breath of God, what is the breath of life? Obviously, nobody can answer that with any factual data. But, that is pitfall of this question, so many people try to answer with a scientific rational. Maybe saying Adam is the exception, or the mother passes oxygen to the child in the womb. Although both may be correct, one must address this question theologically, not scientifically. Its like disproving transubstantiation with chemistry, its a theological rational, not a scientific one. So that brings me back to my question, theologically what is the breath of God and the breath of life. Since God isn't alive as we are all alive, God doesn't have need for lungs, so the breath cannot be oxygen or any air. So, what I would suggest to you is that this breath is the Holy Spirit, that which ties man to God, maybe even the soul. A child in the womb, would be touched by the Holy Spirit and theologically be fully alive. My point is, this is the problem with literal interpretation of the Bible. It is hard to distinguish between that which is worldly and that which is divine. In this case, I don't believe that breath is being used in its worldly, literal form. It is the life giving spark from the divine. Good, logical argument though. Its nice to see the faithful squirm from time to time.

According to Genesis 2:7, God made man in three parts. He formed a body from the elements of the earth, breathed into it his own spirit, and the results was a living soul.

Each draws its "life" from a different source. The spirit draws its life from God. The flesh draws it life from the blood. The soul draws its life from union of body and spirit.

If you were to take the blood out of a person, their spirit would still continue to exist. It does not draw its life from the blood or the body, but from God. The body, however, would be dead.

God breathed the breath of life into Adam and he became a living being.

After the fall of Adam and Eve, death was brought into the world, because of sin.

In order for us to live forever as God planned, we would have to have the blood of Jesus Christ to cover our sins.

Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.

If you accept Christ, His blood covers our sins and we are
promised eternal life.

No he didn't breathe blood into Adam. He's God, he can do anything. Christians believe on faith.
God is not just spirit either, He can be in human form, too.

What do you think that in the blood, Oxygen.
God made us in His imege. He gave us a spirit our body is just a shell that the spirit dwells in without the spirit we are dead we have no life,So he breathed life into us,the blood is our fleshly life our spirit is our heavenly life,So when Jesus died for us He conquerd the flesh and Spirit for us, becuase He was spirit and became flesh to conquer flesh.I hope this helps out,God is good.

He breathed life into Adam (meaning spiritual life) not literal blood. As before God breathes life into a person (at birth) the being is spiritually dead. God gives spiritual life to a person at first breath and takes away at last breath. This meaning our 1st birth, we are re-born once we believe in the son of God in which it is not literal birth, it is spiritual re-birth.

We are spirit. Human life is a spirit that has a soul and that lives in a body. We are eternal and will spend eternity either in heaven or hell.

just another silly thing the church teaches...i got another for you...

I believe it was Magellan who said,

"The church says the earth is flat; but I have seen its shadow on the moon, and I have more confidence even in a shadow than in the Church."

On the wood of his ship were disobedience, defiance, scorn, and success.

seems odd the creator of the earth didn't know what shape he made it in.....

so silly the churches and the con men that lead them
