I've owned property in the Bahamas. Yes, no one pays personal taxes like we do here in the US but they are heavily taxed with duty. Duty is the "tax" you have to pay on everything else. It's why a gallon of gas in the Bahamas was $5 a gallon ten years ago or a gallon of milk was also $5 or a loaf of bread was over $3. A hammer, in some places, was as much as $40 or a cordless drill was $360.

Tax breaks? Yea, sure, you betcha. No personal taxes but the screw you on everything else.

Your question is somewhat vague but also equally factual in terms of what you say about Bahamas being a tax haven!
