One may be less coarse they the other but that's about the only difference I can see.

They have similar agenda's. And yes, they are definitely both hate groups.

Yeah, pretty much. The only difference is that Westboro Baptist actually does what the mainstream religious groups like the American Family Association wish they could do. The AFA has the same goals as WB, but they use political means to accomplish what they want to do.

Don't know about Focus on the Family, but the Westboro group is a hate group, no question.

They give Baptist a bad name, I know many very good Baptist people, they are nothing like that fringe group.

You see what you want to. Focus on the Family is certainly conservative but no where near a hate group like Wesboro.

Most religions & churches are hate groups. They look down on anyone who is not like them & condemn them to eternal punishment from their "creator" if they do not choose the same way.

Most religion teaches intolerance & segregation & in some cases the murder of those who do not conform to their standard belief system.
