My daughter is only 12, but she has a similar problem. She appears to be a perfectly normal, functioning individual; but after she has been around someone for a while, they notice her disability and take advantage of her.
Her father and I have been struggling with some issues related to her being in mainstream public school. We have decided to enter counseling with her. There should be programs that address behavior disorder and appropriate speech in your area. Often times, your pastor is an excellent source of information. It takes some research to find the programs, but they are worth it.
Give yourself a break. Raising a handicapped child is difficult and takes a lot out of you, both physically and emotionally. Be sure to keep yourself mentally and physically healthy, so that you can take care of her.

if that's the case you have newborn with the actual concepts-set of a 13 twelve months previous and psychological concepts-set of a 6 twelve months previous. The counselor is a moron. you purely dont punish a 6 twelve months previous without permitting them to understand why. you may desire to describe that what he does incorrect has effects. Then whilst he does do incorrect. eliminate some thing that he enjoys. Like a video interest or some thing else. you may desire to be consistent. babies purely learn with repitition and consistance. it variety of feels you sense as a results of fact he's retarded you have given up. truly that's going to be extra artwork than raising your different babies even if that's going to be truly worth it. alongside with the punishment area you decide on a reward area days whilst he does no longer something incorrect he might desire to be rewarded... Its artwork lots extra powerful this way. never do something in anger. maximum human beings cant think of straight away whilst they are offended. come back to the situation once you're calm. consistently clarify you dont like a definite habit amd the habit is erroneous and it has effects and then act on those consequenses. The punishment shouldnt be too overwhelming. dont take a toy away for each week purely for the day. And the advantages shouldnt be too grand the two dont promise a visit to disney international. some thing elementary like an excellent desolate tract at dinner. never never never promise a reward or punishment. Do it after the certainty. Say at dinner. you have carried out o.k. on the instant and right that's a effective piece of chocolate cake. Or never threaten punishment. basically after he has carried out some thing and you're calm then clarify the punishment. wish this facilitates

There are a few options.
Some employment agencies are designed for dissabled individuals.
Volunteer work is always a good starter to help her get used to what is required of her, in an employment situation.
Employment that has repetition is better for individuals with intellect problems as they can get into a routine easier.
Good Luck!!!

Well... Unfortunately there are the kinds of people in this world who will abuse her... mentally, emotionally and physically.
How about PARC? Or some other agency that employs the special people in our lives who need a safer enviornment away from the retards in the world...
**And please understand that I use that word fully aware that the people who are called retarded by everyone else... Shouldn't be. Everyone else is retarded... They are "special."

THANK GOD,she is having atleast 14 years old mental capacity. That is great, so to say that you can improve by providing companions around the age group of 15 to 19 years old. and if you find some improvement, find a groom who can go adjusted with her with a sympethetic attitude. after marriage there is a possibility of change, May god help you

Why not start her off by getting her to volunteer in a charity that supports learning difficulty or downs? Whilst it's unpaid it'll boost her self esteem and paid work opportunities might present themselves.

Have you been in touch with the gov'ts resources for this kind of stuff?
If not, you really need to do so.. even though nobody has abused her physically, that is a 'yet' statement, if ever I saw one..
