In the 30 range is just about average. If it takes longer than it takes longer. If you go faster then yeeeehaw!!! ( =

My best friend ran her first 5K in 47:38. She didn't know what to expect and was happy to finish.

I think my first 5K was 32:XX, I am not quite sure.

My teammate ran her first 5K in 23:37 last year.

Just goes to show how much it can vary!!!

Good luck!!!

It really depends on how fast you have been training, and what level of running you have been doing.

Many people can run a 5K in about 30 minutes. The really good athletes will come in under 20 minutes.

But dont get discouraged if you need 35 or even 40 minutes. The important thing is to finish, and improve your personal best time with every run.

The first 5K i ever ran was a 23:02.
Really good runners run under 20 minutes.
You should be running anywhere from 20-40 minutes.
It all depends on your endurance and speed really.
but a good time would be around 25 minutes.
Good luck !!
