Wed=Wedding Veil.
Egg+Frying pan=Fried egg, with white bubbles.
Fried Egg w/ White bubbles looks like a wedding veil.
Wedding Veil=Wed.

Atleast that's what I think.

Since "wed" sounds kind of like "wet", I think the riddle referred to when you break an egg, it's wet (or "wed")... lol.
