The life span for a well cared for indoor cat is about 15 years. It would depend on what took your cats leg to begin with. If she is healthy other than missing a leg, she could live a full happy, healthy life.

Nope, she's as normal as a 4 legged cat. I had to have my babies leg amputated due to bone cancer. I was so worried about her.
She acted like nothing happened. It did not slow her down in the least.
A three legged cat can live as long as a four legged cat. Missing one leg really doesn't affect them at all. The first day home after getting the leg amputated, she jumped out of my arms and ran up the stairs.
She was already 9 years old when this happened. She lived another year, but cancer took over her entire body. If it weren't for the cancer, I'm sure she'd still be going strong.

Nope. Four-legged animals do much better missing one leg than two-legged animals do. She still has three perfectly working legs. However, she may have to become an indoor-only cat, if she isn't already. She won't be fast enough to escape or fight off other cats or the occasional dog.

her life expectancy wont be shorter. she Will continue just as normal and cats/dogs all cope very well with three legs. usually cats loose a hind limb which is easier to cope with than the front, but still they live a full and happy life.
obviously the missing limb will give a little more strain on the remaining limbs and the vet will monitor her movement. although a little strain on joints will be a natural reaction to the missing limb she will build muscle and cope just fine.
don't worry....she will be fine.

Just keep her inside so she won't have to fight for her life with another cat. Is she spayed? Unless she lost her little leg due to cancer she can live as long as any other indoor cat. That can be in excess of 20 years!

In my personal opinion, no. My brother-in-law had a cat that he and his little brother found back when we were in high school that had 3 legs. Her name is Oreo...she's such a pretty girl.
Anyway, I was like a sophomore in high school and I'm now 29, so, she's like 13-14 years old at least...we think she was about a year or so when they found her. She's still in great shape. Just lazy like most cats are...she definitely doesn't look old.

She may get tired more easily than a regular cat and have a bit of trouble jumping up on things but otherwise if she eats and drinks well she should be fine.

If she is an outdoor kitty, she may not be able to run or climb as fast as she needs to when trying to escape predators. So in this instance, her life expectancy may be less.
