Now Quantrill, you and I both know that only the Messiah will do any "smiting." (See Isaiah 63.) Let's leave these things up to Him, shall we ? ; )

People do not smite anyone in the end. God will take care of (smite) all who he does not approve of and who do not have a righteous heart condition. The Bible says: "Justice is mine sayeth the lord."

And just as the scriptures say "He (God) does not desire any to be destroyed, but desires all to attain to repentence", true Christians hold the same attitude as God that way. We do not look forward to the destruction of anyone. Instead, we have sincere hopes that all people will repent and come back to the true God.

I look forward to growing everyday. I look forward to pleasing God. I look forward to learning more. No one will know when the time will come so there is not point in looking for or forward to it. Why would I want to smite anyone who hasn't done anything to me? I would rather share the glory of Heaven with them.

it is not our job to smite the non believers. God is the righteous judge. The reason I am looking forward to the end times, is so that i will be spending eternity with the One who saved me. That is the truth, believe it or not.

I believe all righteous people regardless of religion are in good with God. Nobody can convince me that God would not accept a righteous, peaceful, and compassionate Jain or Buddhist or an infant who died without being baptised because some dusty scroll says he should. I suspect that Heaven will NOT be the reward for small-minded and bigoted people who want to smite others because of their beliefs.

Christians won't be doing any smiting; they'll be patiently waiting for the whole ordeal to pass over.

Only God can judge we have no authority we are to love and serve one and other. I look forward to the day when the lord returns to claim his inheritance and i pray that the world would take of its blinkers and repent for turning its back on God and that includes you.
