Well, in the Old Testament, He went through many stages of evolution; from benevolent dictator, to judge, to warrior, to aggrieved husband, to healer, to friend of barren women, to physician, etc...(not in that order)..to divorcee.
He mellowed a lot between the Testaments. And Jesus epitomized a balanced and integrated God; who taught of God as a Father.
Now, to the democrat part...I can't see it at all, that particular party wants to provide for the masses, wants to (and has) developed a nation of welfare recipients), wants to use politics for social engineering projects (all for our own good, of course)...Ugh...burp..sorry, had to upchuck....LOL
And it's a roll of the dice of what He's going to set up, when He sets up His Kingdom on earth...There is a scripture about a 'rod of iron' which I don't like at all...the number one reason I don't like it is: it doesn't work. Subservience and love is freely given and gained; not coerced; and, God is smart enough to know that.
And, my experience is: God wants strong, mature, independent thinking men and women. He doesn't like dependent personality disorders and social cripples.

That quote replaced into taken out of context. in case you had bothered to do a touch study, you would have discovered that Obama replaced into answering a question about how the U. S. ought to prepared the floor in asking different countries of the global to safeguard power. His reaction is that we does no longer be a reputable global chief in conserving power if we as a us of a proceed to squander power in those strategies. He replaced into signifying that persons want to make life-type variations if we need the global to adhere to our celebration. And he's precise.

Haha, a good question. My mother always said our family "isn't a democracy, but a benevolent dictatorship." What she meant was, she cares about me, and loves me, but I'm still doing what she wants.
This is kind of like God. It's a little misleading to say dictator, or democrat, because he's some of both.
He's a dictator in that when he decides to do something, he just goes ahead and does it. Like, Christians believe that he'll come again and judge the world. He won't exactly take an opinion poll beforehand. Why should he? It's his world. He made it. Seems fair.
On the other hand, he's a democrat because he likes people to choose for themselves. This started way back with Adam and Eve, and they chose well, for a while, and then (famously) chose poorly. He gave out rewards and consequences, and our actions still merit them. For instance, there are natural merits and consequences to the simplest of things. He tells us to honor our parents (which, I'll point out, doesn't always mean obey). If you do, even without caring about God, then you'll have a happier home, and likely a more successful childhood because your parents (at that age) are generally smarter than you. He's dovetailed many of his divine commands this way so that they lead to earthy blessing.
Some don't. Telling the truth all the time, for instance, was likely to get you killed for most of history. Still will, in many places today.
But I stray. He's some of both. He's an all-powerful God who puts much of his power on hold to give us the opportunity to do the right thing. He'll use his power eventually, and quite dramatically, to come and seperate those who have believed in him and called on his name from those who haven't. Those who have get to spend eternity with him, those who didn't want God get just that. These places are heaven and hell. (Be careful what you wish for ....)
That's it. But there are a few general confusions I'd like to address:
His "pets and kith & kin" cannot "always utter Praise the Lord" to please him. This doesn't always do the trick. Many people say that and don't mean it. Being a Christian isn't about living a good life, praising God, and making good potato salad for the Wednesday night bar-b-que. It's simply about acknowlodging God and his son Jesus as Lord. That's simple (like singing the line for the marine corps) but rather more difficult to live out (like being the perfect marine).
So, most Christians dissapoint God with their actions most of the time. Christians aren't neccessarily any more "holy" than others: Jesus admitted this when he said it isn't the healthy that need a doctor but the sick. (sadly, we're all sick.) It just matters to God that you're trying. Christians lead much the same lives as everyone else: they wake up to annoying alarms, hit snooze, drag themselves out of bed, go to jobs they don't like anymore, dream about getting rid of their wife and kids for a day, or possibly burying their husband in the backyard, and worry about their taxes and what the neighbors think.
So it's silly to think that you can satisfy God with your life. You aren't perfect, and that's the only thing he'll settle for, because he's perfect. But it's quite easy to please him. He's like the father of a toddler: ecstatic that the child took his first steps, but won't be satisfied in the long run until his son can walk like a man, and run strong and well. But in the meantime, he wants you, like his son or daughter, to acknowledge him, love him, and try to do what he says, even if you don't like it.
It's a good deal: eternity with a heavenly father who loves us more than we can imagine and only wants the best for us, in exchange for loving him and trying to do what he says (which will actually work out better for us than doing what we want). But it's a loss of control. A glorious loss, but of course you can't know that until you try.

A good and decent teacher and leader. He is not a dictator or democrat. He gives us choice. We are not made to follow him if that is not what we do. He has values and morals.Something the human race seems to be lacking these days.
