It is buried in land fills, or just left laying around in litter piles. Eventually, either by efforts of people or naturally, it gets recycled. For example Iron is reused to make new metal products or it just rusts away into brownish-red dust and mixes in the soil.

The earth has a built in recycle system and the land fills don't enhance it . Most is with plants they take our waste and recycle it ,it is all natural and has worked fine. The major is plants and many are eaten , then the earth worms ,and Marget's ,it is a complete system.
