I already have my own view on it that works for me. If yours works for you, cool.

You could email me. I'm very interested. I love learning about new religious ideas, concepts, rituals. Unless your facinating view is wrapped around the idea of telling me how I'm going to burn in hell. I've heard that one before and you would be right--people really aren't interested.

But if it is actually "fascinating" -- I'd love you to email me and tell me about it.

Some people just forget about things like that. Do you try to force it on them? I have a coworker who is totally into God and I love him for it. He has his views and will use the bible to back him up. That is all fine and dandy. Sometimes I say things to him that he didn't know, and he will look it up in the bible. We listen and accept him because he doesn't try to force us to listen. Next time you are trying to share your view, you need to first see if they are willing to listen. You will get a better response if you ask instead of just spilling your guts.

i'm sorry but people that like to use words like 'spiritualism' (eg 'i'm not religious, but i'm, like, spiritual') usually turn out to be wacko new age people, who do things like take a whole bunch of celtic things, totally misunderstand them, and then claim to be pagan or celtic or whatever.

i have little time for such people. the next person whom i meet at a market somewhere trying to sell me rune stones or some such will get a huge lecture about insulting ancient religions and repeated demands from me to prove that they're celtic or pagan by sacrificing a newborn lamb then and there. oh, and following the pagan practice of forcing virgins to take hallucinogenic substances and have sex with as many men as possible before sacrificing them to the gods. now, theres religion!!

oh, and i also detest people who insist on calling easter and christmas by the names of pagan festivals, like saturnalia. yes, the pagan festivals are older. yes, they were synthesized into what we now call christianity. but, unless you know all about saturnalia - SHUT UP ABOUT SATURNALIA and call it christmas like everyone else. or, call it whatever the hell you want to call it, just don't lecture me (a scholar of comparitive religion who knows all about saturnalia) about how i should call it saturnalia because of whatever the hell reason you cooked up in your bizarre and childish mind. we live in the west, where it is called christmas - even by people who aren't christians.

which is another thing - unless you plan to celebrate saturnalia or whatever in the traditional way, don't even bother thinking about saturnalia...

so, vale to you and your spiritualism, friend

If you've posted it, I haven't seen it. Why not give us an idea of what your view is so we can answer intelligently?
