What I'd prefer to see is government get completely out of the marriage business, no sanctions, no tax breaks, no special status to anyone, period. Churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, etc., can define marriage any way they want. The rest of us will be free to ignore them.

Why only elderly couples? there are a large number of unlucky human beings available who're sterile, or have an extremely puzzling time getting (themselves or somebody else) pregnant. There are people who do only not want toddlers. via the argument of your idiots there could be a fertility try earlier human beings can get married, and a few requirement that they could have toddlers in any different case the marriage is annulled. I even have yet to be certain an argument against gay marriage that doesn't prepare to the presently criminal pastime of cohabiting. in case you ban gay marriage gay human beings won't become at cutting-edge, they won't marry opposite intercourse companions in order that as that they might have childrens. top now any couple can cohabit in the event that they want. A heterosexual couple can chosen to get married and so can benefit criminal rights and federal tax advantages. there's no criminal requirement that they love one yet another, that they have intercourse, that they produce toddlers. regardless of if it fairly is often the case. With gay marriage not criminal those comparable rights and tax advantages are denied to gay couples who're cohabiting. that's only undeniable unconstitutional.

Since when has society through law been able to control people's sexual behavior? Never! Promiscuous behavior is fairly standard globally. Why does anyone need to have such unions legalized?
Even a great many heterosexuals decline making their commitment legal and prefer common-law marriages!
The problem with gay sex, male or female, bestiality, or having any kind of sex at all, with dead or live organisms, is that it prevents salvation.
If you don't care about God and pleasing God, he gives you the right to do what you want while you live!
Isn't that what it says? That God gave them up, permitted them to do these things until they die?
Romans 1:28 And, even as they did not approve to be holding, God, in acknowledgment, God gave them up unto a disapproved mind to be doing the things that are not becoming, (Rotherham)

I don't see why not, Christians are fighting against nature about humans being gay, and we are a type of animal and there are gay animals, check it out

For heterosexuals, science is getting better, and there is adoption.
Humans marry for love, and not just to reproduce, Christians make it sound like we have to be a car factory and produce baby after baby.

I see some heterosexual couples who reproduce and should be shot for it. They are horrible parents. Most of the time they end up killing their children anyway.
As for the Christian/homosexual issue: I think God made them how they are and he loves them just how he made them. Once again, it is man "trying" to think how God would react. Man is really the once with the prejudices, not God.
Many churches in my area allow homosexual couples to attend their churches. The marriage issue is still being decided on by the law makers--most of whom do not attend any form of religious services.

Ok....I got angry when reading your question...but..I finished reading and I get it. Just come to the realization that No one is gona change their minds....its in their BIBLE......their book of life. They can't see past the pages to realize that gay people could really make a dent in the need for good loving homes for children. Some of those children are born from Good little Christian girls who lapsed for a moment and can't stand up for the mistakes they made. But their Good Christian parents can't stand the thought of a gay couple raising these children...the children they DONT want.

I've never heard that argument. Since the Bible actually says that the act of homosexuality is wrong, that should be a Christians main argument. Look at Sodom and Gomorrah and tell me God approved of the lifestyle.

VERY good question!
The whole and only reason that religion allows sex is for procreation aqnd definitely NOT for recreation. Thus, an infertile partner in a marriage is defying the will of the fictional god. Oh dear me!

I have to wonder how that affects the couples who CHOOSE not to reproduce. Is their marriage invalid? Good question.

Well then I'm screwed and I guess my marriage doesn't count because I'm not able to have kids, although I do adopt, and am going to adopt more. Gotta love those Christians. But hey, they don't want me having kids anyway because I'm atheist.
