Mother's-In-Law's can be a real pain. After many years of dealing with a total of 4 of them, I am now divorced. I actually went out and celebrated when I read my last Mother in law's obituary on January 30th.

We have our good days and our bad days. My mother in law gets on my nerves quite often and is sometimes down right annoying, but we ususally get along. Although she is one that likes to disscuss anything and eveything and let me tell you she sure has an opinion and i hate dissucussing things with her because she turns our discussion in to a debate and or plian out WAR!

Heck, I don't like my mother! I think most of us are very close to our mothers (we came from them, after all) and when we're in a relationship with someone, that person's mother has *always* had the #1 relationship to them. So, it's easy to see where friction arises.

I'm sure I'm one of those rare people who loves her mother-in-law. She was the only one in my husbands whole family who made me feel welcome when I first met them all and I just love the woman to bits, we go shopping, go to dinner etc together and I look on her as another mum I can turn to when I need someone

I could write a book! The last straw was last year. We found out she was using meth and addicted to several prescription drugs. When my husband said she couldn't babysit because of it, she accused her husband (my husband's step-dad) of turning her kids against her. Also, in front of our daughter, she screamed that I was the "b**** who stole her son and grandkids"! Nuts, nuts, nuts. Now she is getting divorced, she is still on pills, and she hangs out with a convicted sex offender. How classy.

I have to say that I have always been fortunate enough to know some great guys, and their great Moms...never had one that didn't enjoy my company, nor the happy on their boys faces...I still see or get to visit many of them, too...never burn a bridge! LOL
