We see that all living things in nature consume food. Then there are living creatures also at the fringes of organically recognisable life form; the bacteria living near hot waters vents by hydrogen sulphide deep on the seas bed where no other means of sustenance of life is available; then viruses that are semi alive, as they can stay dormant in crystalline form dead for years but reproduce like living organisms; my hair is not alive but it needs constant feeding.

If atom is the basic unite of matter then what energy source drives it as a mini solar system? And at a grander scale of things, what is the feed for the gravitational force present in all material objects?

What does religion say about this? In Quran, for example, Allah is the sole Creator of the universe who constantly nurtures and feeds all the worlds in existence. What is your personal stand on the matter: has God created a dead wilderness for us to be in, or a place both physically and conceptually very much alive?

Yes, It is a great place to live...I wouldn't live anywhere else.

The universe is not alive, muppet. It's mostly cold space, with some tiny bits of dust in it. Life is an electrochemical reaction that takes place on bits of this dust, in a few places where the nuclear reactions are low enough to permit stable elements in the CHO&N range to interact.

Life will probably only last for a few billion years, and will be followed by a colder phase in the universe, dominated by gravitational reactions.

The highest dimension of the created universe is the Environment, that is a Grand living body, under evolution and growth process from day one of the creation to now and on wards. It is under process of development of it within itself, by itself. As creation is done by the God and it is being produced continuously by procedures and different processes.
It has dissolved all other minor dimensions within itself like an ocean's water covers every thing within it.
Holy Qura'n, 2:255.
"Wasi'a Kursiyyu hus samawaati wal ardh" (The Kursi of Allah extends to all heavens and the earth),

Some time I think may be this part of holy verse (Aayatal Kursi) of holy Qura'n points out to that grand living body of the highest dimension of the universe.

This is my personal description, as Islam does not explain the Mutashabihaat. (the symbolic meanings).

To say an atom is like a mini solar system is a gross oversimplification. At those sort of levels, the distinction between matter and energy is less clear. You are asking science questions in the religion section, you are not going to get accurate answers.

so a procedures as i understand Prof. Hawking has now verified that the universe can come out of not something via making use of the regulations of physics. He for this reason stated that God replaced into now not necessary. Christians can nevertheless have confidence "God did it" in the event that they want to proceed to be deluded. @Richard T. what's conflicting approximately those 2 statements? Colonising different planets does not inevitably mean encountering extraterrestrial beings. you're strange.

No. The atom and solar system require no input of energy for their continued existence. They have the energy they need, which is conserved. Learn some science.

The universe is nearly 100% inhospitable to life. The parts that are hospitable are so minute in comparison to the rest that to say 99.99999999% of it is inhospitable would be wildly inaccurate.

My answer is "YES."

I beg to differ with the "Creatio ex nihilo" (Creation out of nothingness) concept.

I see it more as "Creatio ex Ego" (Creation out of Self.) As such, everything is made out of the essence of the Absolute. This is more in line with some of the Eastern concepts.
