I think you mean what does sleep do for us. When we sleep our body works very hard to recooperate our body and get it ready for another day. When you sleep it refreshes your organs and your brain. Our bodies need sleep to funtion properly!

Apart from many other benefits, the most important one is that sleep "refreshes" the neurons.

During sleep the body is also doing its repair work whilst all body systems have slowed down . In simple terms, its total time out.
