I have learned that for some people, my religion is the most important thing about me. Perhaps the only important thing about me. (And here I thought it was just one thing of many).
No matter what else there is about me - if I'm kind or thoughtful or generous or articulate or intelligent or witty or responsible or _____ (fill in the blank), because I don't believe what they believe, I essentially have no value (except as a possible convert).
I've learned that that attitude is more pervasive than I'd ever have believed.
And I have learned to shrug it off.

There are so many differing ideas about religions, about what Christianity is really about. That there are people who really get defensive if you don't agree with them. That there is a lack of tolerance and understanding from some.
That some wonderful people have a tolerance and love for others, in spite of differences, and that true Spiritualism, and real Christianity can be found here.

That people are very narrow minded and they don't care what anybody has to say. They come in here to prove an unprovable point. People that don't believe in god are very very rude to people that do believe saying horrible things about their god. I pretty much learned nothing about religion or anything else just how plain disrespectful and mean people could be.

I have learned that there are a lot of hateful, ignorant people in this world who use Yahoo Answers as a place to spew their venom. I originally came here to LEARN about religion and have been attacked and cloned, my beliefs trashed and my family insulted. I should not be surprised, this place is only a reflection of the real world that is so controlled by media propaganda. On a happier note, I have made many friends here and have connected with many Muslims who are happy to share their wisdom with me.

That there are really people out there that are truly fundamentalists. I don’t meet these people in real life and I live in the bible belt. Of course, I’m a college student, so that may have something to do with it. I don’t go to church. I have met a couple fundies, but not this many all at once. It’s crazy!

I've learned that there are immature, rude, hateful people who use this board as a vehicle to make themselves feel superior to others by ridiculing their religious beliefs. I've learned to exercise my patience on this board.
