Why does the bible call Babylon the Great(false religion) a hore for her relationships with the world??

Christianity teaches that we are to be in the world and not of the world. If a church puts its government or the opinions of the world above God, it is guilty of idolatry. The most common metaphor for idolatry in the Bible is that of a prostitute. It is used several times in Ezekiel alone.
