not sure the place you're coming from yet financialy talking Prague may well be the extra value effective option, then i assume in case you nevertheless have money bypass directly to Vienna. I visited Prague final wintry climate and located the city to be intensly beautiful; the folk on the different hand would desire to not have been extra distinctive than their city. i think of the pall of Communism nevertheless clings too thickly to everybody's soul. From what I even have heard from a cutting-edge customer to the States from Vienna the region is almost a museum and persons are very classic and the city is generaly a secure and clean ecosystem. If the guy that I met is any indication the folk could be lots extra friendly. Whichever you chosen, delight on your holiday.

I have never been to Vienna, but Prague is interesting, beautiful, not expensive, not horribly touristy and has wonderful beer and live jazz clubs. I went in March and it snowed and made the place really magical. Hope that helps.

Prague every time.

And it's not that touristy, no more than Vienna actually.

You are correct in one comment though, Vienna is outrageously expensive.

Both cities are beautiful, but the only one I will be going back to is Prague

Vienna is very European (oldskool) and though unique and beautiful, 'like' many other cities.

Prague is...well..different. I'd pick Prague any time even if it is only because there is nothing like it.

I'd say this is very subjective - they are both excellent places for different reasons.

Listen to what the other good folks say, but at the end you'll need to weigh up what major attractions are best for you and what you can do with your budget, taste and time:

Prague.
Cheaper, better food and the locals are not stuck up.
