hyperglycemia is cause by the destruction of beta cells, not the other way around.

Scientists are working on regenerating beta cells, but no luck so far.

I've been an insulin dependant diabetic for 14 years & no matter how tight I keep my control of my sugar levels the numbness in my feet (neuropathy) continue to get worse.
