I have a friend who gets the same thing. She has always told me it's a heat rash. Obviously as it only happens in the summertime I would rule out Eczema or Psoriasis. If it goes away and you are not in any pain I wouldn't worry about it.

If you suspect eczema, psoriasis or vitilago, check out the yeast link at www.hufa.org. I have light patches, dark patches and dry skin on my forearms because of having a systemic yeast infestation for who knows how long.

Eating more yogurt in the summer may help as yogurt has the bacteria that help control yeast.

its an uneven distribution of melanin, the tanning material in the skin. the bloches of lighter skin is the effect of there not being an evenly distributed amount of melenin in the skin. there is nothing you can do but use some makeup or trying to get an even tan which will help to hide the blotches.

Are those also areas exposed to the sun? I have mild sun allergy and have to limit my sunlight exposure at the start of summer til I build up my tolerance. Aloe helps. If really itchy or irratated baking soda paste or oatmeal helps.
