When a guy approaches you for the first time smiling, does this seem conspicuous?
I like to smile, a lot, and I can't help it sometimes. Though I fear sometimes it appears like I'm crazy or hiding something. It could also seem that I'm going to naturally ask the girl out, just when I'm being friendly. It just seems that smiling and being friendly in public is stigmatized.
In other words, when a guy approaches you smiling do your defenses go up?

Nope it tells me that they are confident in themselves and i think that's a very attractive quality

it depends on the smile perosnally. i mean if u come up to me like a goof with a big **** eatin grin on ur face then im prob gona tell u to get lost. but if you simply smile and say hi ill most likely say hello back.

When a guy smiles at me it provokes nice feelings.
I don't think it is a bad thing at all.

no, i think it's cute if people smile at you, i try and smile at anyone i can, i love seeing their reactions, most people smile back and their faces light up, i do hate it when people just avoid your look or don't smile back, so, yeah, it's great to smile smile smile!!!!!! =D =D =D =D =D
