YES! My daughter has very fine hair. I find using a little bit of mouse when her hair is wet helps a lot with keeping it in place. The great thing about that is that after it dries, you cant tell she is using any hair products at all and it stays in place.

It helps a lot if you keep the hair wet while braiding it. Add a little hair gel to keep the loose hairs stuck to each other and it should come out just fine. Be careful not to use too much or it will be slippery and hard to hold onto as well as being flakey when it dries.
