I would love to know that myself. I make my son mind so i don't get why some people can't do the same.
I think they just spoil their kids in not making them mind when they are little but wait til they get older and the parents are wishing they would have made them mind when they do what they want, when they want and they will not be able to control/handle them.

I agree that parents should make their kids listen and behave in public, but sometimes kids just don't care what you tell them. If they really want to be bad then they are going to do it no matter what. If you spank your child in public then you get looked down on by other people there. if you yell at them in public then your a horrible parent. so just short of never going anywhere with your kids there is really nothing the parents can do to insure their kids will be good. by the way i take it you don't like kids alot. this is like the 2nd or 3rd question relating kids and punishment i've seen you write.

Kids misbehave.. it is fact.. it happens.. You can't always predict there behavior. I am a single parent.. and i know what a struggle it is.. and i feel bad when my misbehaves.. sometimes giving them the wrong attention in public causes problems.. Usually mine wants something.. if i give in.. then my child acts out every time.. and i am not trying to raise a spoiled brat.. I do however feel bad for everyone else suffering through it.. but I do and have just dropped everything and grabbed my child and left the store or restaurant..

It is easy to judge.. people and say they let there children act out.. but try and put yourself in there position.. They have to take there children out and so they can learn how to be little people.. and once the skill is mastered they turn into great lil shoppers and dinners..

Brian - because they weren't disciplined when they were kids? A lot of parents do know what to do. This is not an excuse as there are parenting classes widely available. No-one is a born parent, but you have to put effort into learning how to bring up kids.

Linda - sorry, but I believe that you should be controlling your kids, not the other way around. You are the parent, the adult, and the boss. It's not enough to blame anyone else (like the government) in my opinion. If you can't control your kids, get some assistance on learning how to. If you don't know how to, or where to go, ask a question on here!

Well, I have two sons, ( 6 and 7), they can get rowdy sometimes and as a parent I take hold of the ropes and pull them back. I don`t bring them to places I know, will set them up for failure, LOL. I`m not going to bring my children that isn`t child friendly. I think that`s what happens sometimes, people think they can bring their children anywhere. But anyhow, kids are kids, they aren`t perfect. Let`s face it you were a kid once.

Obviously you have never tried to get a happy hyper 2 year old to sit and eat have you , dont frown and judge , sometimes its very hard even for an experienced mum or dad.In stead next time you look down your nose at a parent remember what its like being a child .
Very sorry if i offend but this q hit a sore spot , My kids are angels im lucky but i do know the other side of things.

Are you serious? Or did you just write this question as a joke? If you did it's not funny because some people will take you seriously and you can get into some real trouble. If you are not joking. Go get help. Immediately.

Don't over generalize. I do, and many of us do make our kids mind and often MORE SO in public than at home. We've all seen the evil child and the oblivious parents in public.... that doesn't mean we are all that family.

We DO make our kids mind! We are working on it, all the time. Give us parents a break, really.
How can you be so 100% certain that the tantrum you witness goes on all day and happens in every public situation? ALL children throw tantrums and misbehave at one time or another. Just because you happen to see one doesn't mean you get to judge our parenting.

There are many spoil kids then usally those days
Including my two children
and I can not do anything about it
my 10 year old is worse he tell me he will call HRS if I take the computer or anything else away from him
Its like the HRS is the boss and the parent work, shutup and the kids do as they like.
